Full Biography

Soprano and Music Educator, Heidi Vass, is the founder and first soprano of the acclaimed vocal quartet Seraphour and the head of voice at tonebase.

Renowned for her versatility across sacred music, musical theatre, solo classical, and crossover genres, her performances have been praised as "moving melodies filled with heart and delivered with clear passion… truly soaring with inspiration and soul."

With over two decades of university teaching experience at USC, Pepperdine, and California Lutheran University, Ms. Vass has taught Vocal Pedagogy, Studio Voice, and Class Voice while directing Opera and Musical Theatre productions. She is the Head of Voice at tonebase, where she leads vocal education initiatives, and has demonstrated her creative and musical expertise as a director, conductor, and program builder.

Ms. Vass has performed with renowned ensembles like the New York Philharmonic and Philadelphia Orchestra and directed choirs at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, and the Vatican. She has coached performers for Broadway, professional ensembles, and top music programs while supporting singers at every stage of their journey.

Her albums Reflections and Shades are available on major platforms, and she is the author of the interactive textbook Foundations in Singing. A graduate of Westminster Choir College (B.M.) and USC (M.M.), she is a member of NATS, ASCAP, the Recording Academy, and Pi Kappa Lambda.
